Wayne is a technical visionary and successful business owner with over twenty-five years of experience in bringing innovative commercial software solutions to industry.

As CEO of Aucerna, Wayne provides visionary leadership and sets strategic direction toward the achievement of the organization’s mission and business strategy.

As one of the Principals of Hyprotech Ltd. Wayne successfully grew Hyprotech into a leading world supplier of process simulation software and services solutions. Hyprotech became the 10th largest software company in Canada in revenue and number one in profit.

Following the acquisition of Hyprotech Ltd. by Aspen Technology, Wayne held several key roles on the executive team including that of Chief Product Officer and Senior Vice President of World Wide Sales.

Salva Clave

Salvador Clave has more than 20 years experience in the software technology industry.  As Chief Operations Officer of Aucerna, Salvador oversees customer facing activities for the company as well as its international operations, and achieves business visions and goals through operational excellence.  Prior to founding Aucerna, Salvador was the Chief Operating Officer for Hyprotech Ltd.  He was a key member of the executive team that delivered 20 per cent growth year over year while achieving net margins in excess of 20 per cent.  Following the acquisition of Hyprotech Ltd. by Aspen Technology Inc., Salvador assumed the role of Senior Vice President of Global Sales Operations.  He was a key member of the global sales team that successfully reorganized the worldwide sales organization of 400 employees, while meeting revenue targets and increasing sales efficiency by 62 per cent over a two year period.

Sandy Moreland

Sandy Moreland has over 20 years experience in operations management and human resources. As Executive Vice President, Corporate Services of Aucerna, Sandy oversees the development and implementation of customer and company services functions. Prior to founding Aucerna, Sandy was Vice President of Human Resources for Hyprotech Ltd. She was a key member of the executive team in which she was responsible for the human resources and facilities functions for three software companies within AEA Technology’s Software Engineering Division. In this role, Sandy designed and implemented effective, strategic human resource programs and operational processes for over 650 employees in 14 countries.

Steve Guevarra

Steven Guevarra has over 17 years of financial management experience, including over 12 years in upstream oil and gas manufacturing and service. As Chief Financial Officer of Aucerna, Steve oversees the financial strategy and planning, investor relations, and private and institutional financing activities. Prior to Aucerna, Steve was Vice President of Finance and Controller for Flexpipe Systems, a division of Shawcor Ltd. Steve was part of the leadership team that developed and delivered on a growth strategy involving global expansion, new product line development, and M&A activity. During his tenure, Steve also provided leadership to the IT/IS, Contracts Management, and HR teams. He has a Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree from the University of Manitoba and is a designated CPA-CMA.

Peter Tyler
EVP, Operations, Americas

Peter Tyler

Peter Tyler has over 25 years of experience in the Oil and Gas economic, reserves, and planning software industry.  As EVP, Americas Operations for Aucerna, Peter is responsible for customer satisfaction, implementation quality, and the overall profitability and growth of the region. Over his career, he has been involved in all aspects of the planning and evaluation software space.  Peter started his software career with Merak Projects in Canada.  Following Merak, he founded, grew and sold the company that developed Schlumberger’s current Fiscal Model Library.  Peter later joined Enersight Corporation, leading the US operations. Peter is a strong believer that satisfied customers are the most critical measure of success and long-term growth of a software company.

Chitral Patel

 As EVP Products, Chitral is responsible for defining and managing the execution of Aucerna's Product vision and strategy. Chitral  was previously a Strategy Consultant with Accenture’s Trading, Investments & Optimization Strategy Practice based in London, primarily focused on international engagements in the Oil and Gas, mining and utilities sectors. In a former life, Chitral was a high-school Physics teacher in England. Chitral graduated with a BA and an MSci in Natural Sciences: Astrophysics from the University of Cambridge and is based in Calgary, Alberta
